FROM DRUNK TO TRUNK, THE STORY OF MIKE FLETCHER

October 12, 2004. The Boston Red Sox are battling the New York Yankees in the first game of the American League Championship Series. Meanwhile, the boys of Townhouse 404 at Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts are watching the event on television in their living room. Alcohol is present. One resident in particular is becoming increasingly intoxicated. For his protection we will call him "Mike Fletcher". As Mike drinks, he becomes more and more confrontational, and ends up in a shouting match with Aaron Cadieux (who is not a drinker). The argument almost escalates into a physical altercation. These first series of events happen to be captured on video. Following his confrontation with Aaron, Mike loses complete control of himself. At one point, Mike trades blows with friend Jay Lafleur. Later, Mike would lock himself in his room and threaten to "end it all". Concerned for his safety, the guys contact the campus police. Mike gets wind of the fact that the police are coming and takes off into the night during the wee hours of the morning. The events that followed are nothing short of astonishing, and are what gave this film its unique title.

Filmed in 2004, and released in 2005, "From Drunk To Trunk, The Story of Mike Fletcher", is a documentary film that tells an unbelievable story that illustrates the negative effects of excessive alcohol consumption. A series of interviews were conducted with every resident of Townhouse 404 as the guys each tell Mike's story from their point of view. Even Mike himself gives an interview in which his face is hidden in th shadows, and his voice is digitally altered. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt in the events of that unforgettable night. "From Drunk To Trunk . . ." is an interesting film, as it is both humorous, and alarming at the same time.
