100 years before the American Revolution.  16 years before the horrors of the
Salem Witch Trials.  Colonial New England found itself in the grips of the most devastating conflict, on a per-capita basis, in American History . . .
An event known as King Philip's War.

For the last few years,
Aaron Cadieux's dream has been to produce a large-scale documentary on the history of this horrible conflict.  Being a resident of Dartmouth (a town virtually obliterated during the war), the son of an enthusiastic high school history teacher, and the director of "Inside the Bridgewater Triangle" (a film with connections to King Philip's War), Aaron has always had an interest in the subject.  He patiently waited for his chance to begin work on the project.  In the spring of 2006, the time was right, and he began researching King Philip's War.  It is now the summer of 2006, and production for "The First Patriots" is well underway.

After suffering five decades of injustices and mistreatment, Metacomet (King Philip) and the Pokenokets had had enough.  The film's title, "The First Patriots", is a tribute to the brave Native Americans who rose up against the English in 1675 and 1676.  The film will expose viewers to a detailed chronological journey through the conflict, beginning with the landing of the Pilgrims in 1620, and ending with the tragic death of Metacomet (King Philip) in 1676.  Along the way, viewers will learn about the key figures involved, the various locations affected, the important themes, and the lasting effects of King Philips War.

Big Operations Productions hopes to complete this in-depth documentary by the spring of 2007.  If anyone is interested in participating, please do not hesitate to
contact Aaron Cadieux and/or Big Operations Productions.
