Are you a high school athlete looking to play sports in college? As Massachusetts' sports videography leader, we work with athletes to build comprehensive highlight reels featuring videos of their most spectacular feats from their high school careers. Each DVD is personalized with a custom-designed DVD label, DVD case and on-screen menu.

Often times we are asked, "How does the process work?" First, athletes are asked to gather game films (which are usually on DVD). Game films are usually obtained from the athlete's high school coach (more often then not, varsity athletic events are videotaped so that coaches can critique their players' performances). Another source of game films is local cable access coverage. Next, we require athletes to go through each DVD and write down the times of their best plays. This is done using the counter feature on any standard DVD player. Once the times have been logged, the DVDs are turned over to us, and we pull the highlights off the discs for use in the individualized highlight reel. We also recommend athletes submit any high-resolution photos they may have of themselves. These photos are used to design the DVD label, DVD case and on-screen menu.

Sometimes, an athlete may not have access to game films, or films of their athletic performances may not exist. If this is the case, and you are anticipating the need for an individualized highlight reel, you may want to have a parent or guardian videotape your remaining games. Big Operations can use amateur game films to construct highlight reels as well. If you are looking to have your performance shot professionally, Big Operations offers event videography services.

Big Operations offers a number of options to enhance the impact of your reel including: a marker indicating an athlete's location on the screen, a slow motion replay of each highlight, a "Player Profile" page, and the inclusion of an athlete's "Best Games" (complete game films which can be viewed as an option off of the DVD's main menu).
